The tribunal also announced a compensation of Rs 13,861 to be given to Mohd Nadeem, who had received grievous injuries in the accident, and directed National Insurance Company, with which the offending oil tanker was insured, to pay the amount.
The insurance firm was directed to pay Rs 23,07,304 to the wife, two children and parents of Ijhar Ahmed who had died in the accident in August last year.
Nadeem and Ijhar's family members said the accident took place on August 7, 2013 when they were going to Sonia Vihar here from village Gopal Pur on a motorcycle.
When the motorcycles reached Wazirabad Bridge in Timarpur, a tanker, being rashly and negligently driven by its driver Ramesh hit the motorcycle with great force, it said.

The owner and driver of the tanker, in their written statements, declined the contents of the petitions and claimed that the allegations against them were false.
The tribunal, however, rejected their contentions.
Nadeem and Ijhar were working as scrap dealers and were earning around Rs 15,000 per month.
