To create awareness about traffic rules among drivers and vehicle owners, the city police, rural police and the Regional Transport Office (RTO) have launched a road safety drive in the district.
The drive launched yesterday here by Nashik police commissioner S Jagannathan will conclude on January 27.
Jagannathan said all drivers must use seat belts and avoid speaking on mobile phones while driving.
He also urged two-wheeler owners and pillions to use helmets.
As part of the drive, activist of various non-government organisations including 'Nashik First' created awareness by holding ply-cards on traffic safety at various locations in the city.
