Actor Rob Lowe says he would love to return to "The West Wing" for a reunion series.
The 52-year-old actor played Sam Seaborn in the long-running political drama, which ended in 2006, and he says he still hopes to hear from series creator Aaron Sorkin about a possible comeback, reported Extra.
"There will never be another show like that. I keep waiting for the day when I get a phone call from Aaron, saying, 'We're getting the gang back together for 10 episodes for (Internet movie streaming service) Netflix. (I'd do it) in a minute!" Lowe said.
Lowe left the programme in 2003 after the fourth season,
stating at the time that "There was no longer a place for Sam Seaborn on The West Wing."
He briefly returned for two of the final four episodes during the show's seventh and final season.
Many of Lowe's former "West Wing" castmates, including Martin Sheen and Bradley Whitford, have joined forces for a new JusticeForVets public service announcement, urging Americans to focus of the "treatment and restoration" of US soldiers returning home from war.
The charity's senior director is another "West Wing" alum, Melissa Fitzgerald.
