Robbers beaten up by a mob

Three robbers were beaten up by a mob after they looted a jewellery shop at Hillcart Road here today, police said.
The robbers entered the jewellery shop by firing at the security guard this evening. They then started looting the shop, the police said.
Hearing the noise of firing a crowd gathered outside the shop. When the robbers tried to flee the crowd caught hold of them and started beating them.
A police team rushed to the spot and rescued the robbers and admitted them to hospital, the police said.
The security guard of the jewellery shop has also been admitted to a Nursing Home as the bullet fired by the robbers hit him at the foot, the police added.
