Robbers cut woman's finger and ear lobes for golden rings

A woman lost her middle finger and had her ears cut when a man posing salesman entered her home and made good with her golden ring and ear rings in Meghalaya, police said today.
The woman was at home alone at Smit when the man entered her home and snatched her golden ear rings, finger rings and many other costly items last evening, East Khasi Hills SP (City) Vivek Syiem told PTI.
The woman fell unconscious after the robbers cut her middle finger as the ring was very tight. Both of her ear lobes were also cut as he forcibly pulled her golden ear rings, he said.

The woman, who is yet to recover from her trauma, is admitted to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences.
