They were identified as Haqiqat Singh alias Ladda, Ashok Kumar, Satish Kumar alias Bindu, Sachinder Singh alias Sehindi and Rash Paul Singh alias Kella, a police officer said.
During interrogation they admitted to their involvement in several robberies, including the one under the limits of Miran Sahib police station on November 5, wherein they had looted a Gandhi Nagar resident of cash worth Rs 75,000, when he was coming from Nari area in his car, police said.
The said gang was active from quite some time and with the arrest of the main culprits, a great success has been achieved, the officer said.
