The woman, who got married yesterday, was kidnapped by eight masked men, who robbed her and her husband as well as their relatives of jewellery, Deputy Superintendent of Police Harshad Mehta said.
"The incident occurred today, when one Ketan Prajapati along with his wife Sumitra and two other women members of the family were returning to his house in Fatehpura town in the district from Garbada," he said.
On their way home, around eight masked men stopped their car on the bridge of river Khan and robbed them of their ornaments, Mehta said.
According to the complaint registered by Ketan's family friend Bhavin Prajapati, who was driving their car at the time of incident, the robbers took her away as she had seen face of one of the robbers.
"When they were trying to snatch away Sumitra's ornaments, the mask of one of the robbers slipped and she had shockingly addressed him as uncle. After that the accused took her with them," stated Bhavin in the complaint.
