At a recent event, Pattinson, while talking about making the leap from Twilight to meatier, more dramatic roles like in "Cosmopolis", said he hates being nicknamed so, reported Us magazine.
"When I got this part, every single article that came out was, 'R-Patz's struggle for credibility!; I don't understand who invented that thing, 'R-Patz,'. I want to strangle them," he said.
Pattinson isn't the only A-lister who finds his public nickname less-than-endearing. Earlier this year, Scarlett Johansson spoke about her intense dislike for the moniker "ScarJo."
She said, "Oh, it's awful. It's a laziness... People can't actually say the whole name? It's just bizarre... So Cate Blanchett is not, like, 'CaBla'? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck with [ScarJo]?"
