Singer Robin Thicke has been named Sexist of the Year by a coalition of women's groups.
The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker finished at the top of a poll carried out by the End Violence Against Women Coalition, which contains over 60 women's rights groups, reported the Digital Spy.
"Our heartfelt congratulations to a worthy winner Robin Thicke for both his concerted sexist efforts, and in the end the platform he created for rejection of the use of women as objects to promote mediocre pop," said Sarah Green of End Violence Against Women Coalition.
The coalition stated that Thicke was chosen due to his controversial 'Blurred Lines' music video and lyrics.
'Blurred Lines' has become the best-selling single of 2013, shifting over 1 million copies in the UK.
