At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September rose by Rs 12.70, or 1.07 per cent to Rs 1,198.70 per kg in business turnover of 779 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August month was trading higher by Rs 12, or 1.02 per cent to Rs 1,183 per kg in 151 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in mentha oil in futures trade to fresh positions built up by traders due to upsurge in demand from consuming industries against tight stocks position.
