Roca Bathroom Products to add more company owned display

Roca Bathroom Products, an arm of Spain-based sanitary product maker Roca, today said it will add more company-owned display studios in various Indian cities to strengthen its presence.

The company today launched of an exclusive Roca and Parryware display studio in Chandigarh to strengthen its presence in Punjab and Haryana market.

Parryware is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Spain-based Roca.

The company would be opening such display studios in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata, with many among these would be opened this year itself, K E Ranganathan, Managing Director, Roca Bathroom Products Pvt Ltd., told reporters here today.

"We already have company-owned display studios in Delhi, Cochin, Lucknow and now we have it in Chandigarh as well. The studio showcases an array of products and offerings both from Roca and Parryware including faucets, bathtubs, basins, showers, kitchen sinks, and bathroom furniture among others," he said.

Ranganathan said that globally Roca, which has presence in 171 nations, manufactures four crore sanitary ware pieces annually.

"Roca's global turnover is 1.8 billion Euros, out of which India contributes eight per cent...In India, we make 40 lakh sanitary ware pieces per annum," he said.

He said that Indian market for sanitary ware is Rs 3500 crore including in the unorganised sector while size of the markets for faucets is anywhere between Rs 6,500-7,500 crore.

"In sanitary ware, we are the market leader in India. We have 36 per cent market share in the organised sector. In faucets, we are number two player," he said.

"Parryware-Roca is the fastest growing company and we are having double digit growth. We want to sustain this growth by doing lot of marketing activity," he said.

Replying to a question, he said during this fiscal, "we expect the overall sanitary ware market to grow at about 7-8 per cent".
