Rockets fired at Israel from Lebanon, none hurt

Three to four rockets were fired at Israel from south Lebanon, in what the Jewish state suspects could be the handiwork of "global jihadi elements".
One rocket was intercepted by Israel's anti-missile Iron Dome system between Acre and Nahairya and the remainder did not fall in Israeli territory, Israel Defence Forces (IDF) spokesman Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai said.
However, Channel 2 reported that at least two explosions were heard in the vicinity of the northern Israeli city of Nahariya but no damages or injuries were reported.
Israel's other commercial channel, Arutz 10, said that two people went in shock and were rushed to hospital in Nahariya for treatment.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, as Lebanese security sources said militants had fired four rockets into Israel from the south.
Southern Lebanon is a stronghold of Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas and Palestinian militants have launched rockets from that area at Israel in the past.

IDF said that its intelligence information indicates that "global jihadist elements," and not Hezbollah, are responsible for the fire.
"The first identification (of the rockets) was a launch from the village of Kalila south of Tyre, we assume representatives of the international jihad movement," Mordechai said.
Police advised resident to remain close to shelters. The Israel Airports Authority announced that all flights into and out of Haifa have been temporarily suspended in light of the latest developments.

Shai, a resident of Kibbutz Evron near Nahariya, told Ynet that the air siren was sounded only after the explosions were heard.
"We heard two booms, then the siren started. We then went to the sheltered room," Shai reportedly said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of retaliation after the incident.
"Anyone who harms us, or tries to harm us, should know - we will strike them," he said in a televised address.
