Stewart, 67, who has sold 200 million records, said the album will deal with divorce (he has had two) and give his eight children, aged one to 49, by five partners the benefit of his experience, reported Daily Express.
"I've tackled what I call grown-up problems. There are songs with advice to my kids and I've written a song about divorce. I haven't written anything like Hot Legs or Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?," he said.
The album, to be released in December to coincide with his autobiography, is his first original CD for more than 10 years.
