Rohtak-Meham-Hansi railway line survey completed

The Haryana government had agreed to provide free of cost land and 50 per cent share of construction cost, the spokesman said here.

Rewari-Jhajjar-Rohtak railway line having a length of 75 km and Sonepat-Jind railway line having a length of 81 km was likely to be completed by March 31, 2014, he said.

The Rewari-Jhajjar-Rohtak railway line would be completed at a cost of Rs 475 crore and the project included six Railway Over Bridges (ROB) and five railway stations.

Similarly, Sonepat-Jind railway line would be completed at a cost of Rs 500 crore and it included one ROB, 24 road under bridges, 30 level crossings and 12 railway stations.

The spokesman said that the state government had taken steps to attract Public Private Partnership (PPP) in road sector, which is necessary to accelerate infrastructure development.
