The company had posted a net profit of Rs 28.38 crore in the same period a year ago.
The total income from operation of the company declined by 25.52 per cent during the reported quarter at Rs 736.95 crore from Rs 989.59 crore in the corresponding period of 2015-16.
The expenses of the company declined on account of cost of materials, depreciation and ammortisation of assets and employee benefits.
Shares of Rolta India closed at Rs 54.65 per unit, up by 3.6 per cent compared to previous close, at BSE today.
