The weekend saw cupid-struck couples roaming on the streets, exchanging gifts, roses and thronging cinema halls etc.
Red, the colour of love, was the theme at many restaurants and joints which had made special arrangements for youngsters, who were seen making a beeline in front of these outlets.
India Gate, Connaught Place and other similar hotspots saw a huge turnout on the occasion.
"The roses which are usually available for Rs 20 per stick were being sold at over Rs 100 today," said Kritika Magoo, a lawyer by profession.

Police had made elaborate security arrangements to ensure an incident-free celebration and thwart any attempt of moral policing in the city by Right-wing outfits.

Taxi service provider Uber was also offering a chopper service in Delhi to give joy rides to love birds. Priced at Rs 5,000 per couple, the deal included a 20 minute chopper ride on the skies of the city and a pool side meal.
