Romania: soldier killed, 5 wounded in Afghanistan

Romania says one of its servicemen has been killed and five troops wounded by a roadside bomb in southeastern Afghanistan.
The defence ministry said Claudiu Constantin Vulpoiu died early Sunday in the attack, which occurred on the Kabul-Kandahar highway outside Qalat, capital of Zabul province.
The 41-year-old had served in six missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Romania has 1,029 troops serving in the NATO mission in Afghanistan; 23 have been killed.
