The movie is an adaptation of Charles Martin's novel about two people who fall in love after surviving a place crash in the mountains, reported Digital Spy.
The 35-year-old actress is in talks to play the lead female alongside Charlie Hunnam.
Paradise Now's Hany Abu-Assad is set to direct the Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment film, which has J Mills Goodloe and Scott Frank on board to write the script.
Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Reading have been lined up to produce.
