Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today launched Rotavirus drop to mark World Health Day.
Giving drops to a child as he launched the programme, Das said human resource is the biggest capital. Efforts were being made to ensure that nobody dies because of lack of information and treatment, Das said, adding, everyone should honestly work in this endeavour.
"The happiness one derives by saving a life cannot match with anything," he said.
He said Jharkhand has joined select states of the country where Rotavirus has been launched which can prevent premature death of 2,500 from diarrhoea every year.
He said the members of Gram Sabha Committee should take good care of child to reduce mortality rate.
Das said that vaccination programme would achieve success only when it could be transformed into a public movement.
The chief minister said that malnutrition in Jharkhand is also a major problem and continuous efforts are being made to address it.
