Royal Wahingdoh signs Naoba Singh and Longjam Gobin Singh

Meghalaya's debutant at the I-League, Royal Wahingdoh today signed ISL'S star defender Naoba Singh and Longjam Gobin Singh, bolstering their defense line ahead of the weekend clash with defending champion Bengaluru FC here.
Naoba Singh, the highly promising Tata Football Academy cadet from Manipur played for Delhi Dynamos in the recently concluded Hero ISL before joining Royal Wahingdoh, while Gobin Singh moved in from Pune FC.
The Santosh Kashyap coached Royals are on top of the table with three back-to-back wins.
"We have retained maximum of our second division players believing in their effort and capabilities. However, our defense line is a concern as the I-League is being held in a more compact manner from a the perspective of timeline," Royal Wahingdoh chairman Dominic Sutnga told reporters here.
"Hence, Naoba and Gobin would bolster our defense line, which has been a concern as I said since we are into the country's top football league," he said.
Having defeated their city rival Shillong Lajong FC, Salgaogar and Bharat FC, the newest entrant to the top flight football in India are set to add more to the list considering the passion and dedication of the players and the team.

With strikers Beekay Bawar and Kim Song Yong ready to inflict damages with their skills and sharp shooting skills, the visitors will have a run for their money this Saturday (January 31).
The team is, however, wary of Bengaluru's capabilities too given the fact they were the defending champions last I-League season and the recently concluded Federation Cup.
"This will be the biggest challenge for the team. From a layman's perspective, it will be like an epic 'David-Goliath' clash and we look forward to it," team general manager P Nicholas Jyrwa said.
The team also released their official anthem titled 'dare to dream' earlier today.
