The Railway Protection Force (RPF) contingent will march at the Rajpath on the "Bharat ke jawan" tune on the Republic Day.
Assistant Commandant Vinit Kharab will lead the marching contingent of the Railway's armed force.

RPF was declared as statutory force in the year 1957 by an enactment of Parliament and subsequently declared as an armed force of the Union of India in the year 1985.
The force is responsible for safeguarding the Railway property and also ensuring safety and security of passengers, a release said.
RPF draws its men from all parts of the country and thus takes pride in reflecting a truly national character and image.
