The RPF Security Control Room received information about the kidnapping of Asmoju from the Government Railway Police (GRP), Bangalore station, yesterday.
Immediately, the SCR Security Control issued instructions over phone to the on-duty RPF train-escorting staff to nab the culprit and rescue the girl.
"The escorting staff, immediately swung into action, and after a thorough search with caution, traced the girl travelling with a person in H-1 Coach (First AC) of the Bangalore-Hazarat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (yesterday) while, the train was about to reach Secunderabad railway station," SCR said in a statement.
The RPF handed over Nizam and the girl to GRP, Secunderabad, it said, adding, GRP is carrying out further investigation in the case.
