Last week, Shiv Sena had said that IPL team owners who are rich industrialists and Bollywood stars should have no problem coughing up the amount generated from the IPL cricket matches set to start next month.
"The state faces an unprecedented drought and needs funds urgently. IPL owners should contribute at least Rs 500 crore which they earn," Sena leader Sanjay Raut had said.
