Purchasing this ticket would entitle a person to see every movie screened in the theatre once. As an additional attraction those buying the ticket can also transfer it to their friends or relatives if they do not have time to see the film.
"The new ticket scheme will come into effect from April. So far we have sold 2,000 tickets. The target is to sell 10,000 tickets. We also plan to use the money for buying new pictures and screening them," Anand, in charge of Shanmuga theatre at Kovilpatti, said.
Anand said they also had plans to sell tickets through shops by giving five per cent commission to the seller.
He could not explain how the theatre would pay entertainment tax.
