Rs 1.02 cr collected as fine from 42 passengers in last 24 hrs

: An amount of Rs 1.02 crore as fine has been collected by customs authorities from 42 passengers who arrived here from various destinations in the last 24 hours for carrying goods without any proper documents, airport authorities said today.
The fine was collected from passengers who arrived from Singapore, Malaysia, Colombo and Thailand for carrying gold and other electronic goods without any proper documents at Anna International terminal here yesterday, they said.
