Rs 10 lakh in new notes seized from Gurgaon

Haryana Police today recovered Rs 10 lakh in new currency notes of Rs 2,000 here and arrested two persons in this connection.
A police spokesman said a team recovered the notes from two persons, who were riding on a two-wheeler, during checking near Islampur village in Gurgaon district.
On being enquired about the money, they failed to give satisfactory answer following which they were arrested, he said.
The money was seized and the Income Tax Department informed for further action, he added.
