Paliwar, who is also the minister in-charge of the district, directed the officials to utilise the fund to repair 110 boring wells on war footing and identified 12 ponds, which will be made encroachment-free and increase its depth to revive water resource bodies.
Talking to newsmen here, the minister regretted that the backward Palamau district has only 36 doctors even though requirement was 160 doctors.
Similarly, the minister also discussed problems related to agriculture, power, soil conservation, education and other sectors with the officials and asked them to address by involving people as well as the elected representatives of the area.
