Haryana government has sanctioned Rs 1,600 crore for construction of roads, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said.
Besides, a new policy is being formulated to upgrade schools and recruit 20,000 teachers.
"Also, apart from recruiting 13,000 police personnel, the government will initiate the process to fill up 50,000 other vacancies," the Chief Minister said addressing 'Pragati Rally' at Hathin in Palwal, near Faridabad.
He expressed his serious concern over the recent poor result of Class X examinations conducted by the Haryana School Education Board and said that if we do not include the pass percentage of private schools, that of government schools was 31 per cent.
With a view to ensure that students get quality education, more teachers would be recruited, he said.
Khattar asked the public present on the occasion why has the area remained deprived of drinking water and irrigation water for decades together.

"I do not know why the previous governments did not take any step in this direction, but now a permanent solution to the problem would be found by considering various options," he said and assured that all villages in the area would be supplied drinking as well as irrigation water.
He claimed that during first seven months of the present state government, "it has done as much work as could be done in 14 months."
The government has also helped farmers whose crops were damaged due to natural calamities recently.
"A maximum compensation of Rs 1,100 crore was given to affected farmers without any discrimination," he said and added that in case any officer has committed any irregularity in distribution of compensation, the government would take action.
