Rs 2.25 lakh cash recovered from cop who committed suicide

An amount of Rs 2.25 lakh in cash was recovered from the possession of the police constable from Rajasthan, who had allegedly committed suicide after he poisoned his wife and three children to death, police said.
Vijay Kumar, a resident of Alwar district, jumped before a train to end his life on Ambala-Jagadhari rail track near Ambala Cantt railway station last evening, SHO, GRP Ambala Sukhvinder Singh said.
Kumar had killed his wife, two daughters and a son in his police quarter on July 22 and was absconding since then.
Besides the cash, a railway ticket from Chandigarh to Kalka was also recovered form his possession, Singh said.
The identity of the deceased was established on the basis of Aadhar card found in his possession, the SHO added.
