A total amount of Rs 2,65,720 was realised as penalty from 760 cases, including ticketless travelling and unbooked luggages, detected during the drive conducted on June 3 and 4, a senior Northern Railway official said.
In order to curb ticketless travel menace in trains, Delhi Division has launched a drive at different stations in the capital.
"Ticketless travel is an offence, which is not only causing financial loss to the Railways but is also causing inconvenience to bonafide passengers," he said.
