Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia for kin of UP residents killed in U'khand

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of those hailing from the state killed in Uttrakhand tragedy.
"UP government will give Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of state residents who were killed in Uttrakhand tragedy," Akhilesh told reporters after a cabinet meeting here.
Akhilesh said that while the kin would get assistance from Uttrakhand government and the Centre, UP would give also rupees two lakh each.
