Fatehabad Revenue Officer Ram Singh Bishnoi today said many peasants came forward to collect their cheques on the second day of the announcement of award for land acquisition.
The Haryana government had yesterday announced that farmers would get a compensation at a rate of over Rs 30.73 lakh per acre and those farmers, who would not indulge in litigation in case of acquisition of land, would get Rs four lakh as non-litigation amount.
Besides, under the Land Acquisition Policy of the state government, an annuity of Rs 21,000 per acre would be given for 33 years with an annual increase of Rs 750 which totals about Rs 10.79 lakh.
Thus, total amount of all these compensations would become Rs 46 lakh per acre.
