Rs 24.60 lakh looted in separate incidents in Bihar

Unidentified armed miscreants today looted Rs 24.60 lakh in three separate incidents in as many districts of Bihar.
In the first incident, a fish trader was shot at by two motorcycle-borne assailants before they looted Rs eight lakh from him in Siwan town.
Pradeep Kumar, a fish trader, was accosted by the assailants and robbed off Rs eight lakh before being fired at, town police SHO Subodh Kumar said.
The trader, who suffered bullet injury in his thigh, was admitted to the Siwan Sadar hospital, he added.
In another incident of loot, six motorcycle-borne miscreants looted Rs 15 lakh from two security guards of a private bank near Akharaghat area of Muzaffarpur district.
Armed miscreants shot at the guards before looting Rs 15 lakh from them, collected from two business establishments by the bank, at Bela police station area of the town.

Superintendent of Police Vivek Kumar said both Mithilesh Shahi and Shivendra Kumar, who sustained bullet injuries, were admitted to a private hospital at Bairiya.
In a similar incident, two bike-borne persons today looted Rs 1.60 lakh from a 'Munshi' of Makhdumpur police station near DM's office under town police station of Jehanabad district.
The incident occurred when Chhotka Hembrom, the 'Munshi' with Makhdumpur police station of the district, was giving fare to auto driver at Kargil chowk when the miscreants snatched the bag full of cash which he had earlier withdrawn from bank.
Hembrom is a resident of Karnapura village of Supaul district, Town SHO Nagendra Singh said.
Police found Hembrom's bag from Ghoshi road but it was empty.
