Rs 3.11 cr for revamping roads leading to Golden temple: Joshi

Punjab government today said it has released Rs 3.11 crore to give facelift to all roads leading to Golden Temple.
Stating this, Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi today said all lanes, streets, interior roads and major paths leading to Darbar Sahib would be revamped.
Joshi said Punjab State Infrastructure Development Board has released Rs 3.11 crore to refurbish the roads.
He said this issue was discussed with Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal during his recent visit to holy city and it was decided to give a new look to the roads, lanes, streets and interior roads.
Joshi said these roads including Chatiwind Road, Baba Bhodi Wala Chowk, interior of Sultanwind Gate, Ramsar Road to Golden Temple, which will witness laying of flooring, premix, interlocking tiles, concrete roads and premix carpets etc.
Announcing that Amritsar will get another big grant for development purposes soon, Joshi reiterated that Punjab government would leave no stone unturned to develop Amritsar one of the most developed city of country.
Joshi said after completion of these works lakhs of devotees and daily commuters will get rid of traffic chaos.
