Rajasthan State Legal Service Authority (RSLSA) today distributed a financial assistance of over Rs 3.38 crore to 3036 people at a special mega Legal awareness and public welfare camp at Jhalawar.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajasthan High Court Judge Justice V S Siradhana said the camp was organised to make people aware of judicial mechanism and provide them financial assistance under various welfare schemes who were left out in government schemes, an official release quoting him said here.
People should raise their voice for their legal rights in democracy, he advised.
District and Session Judge C L Gupta said the basic reason of backwardness and imbalance in the rural society was due to unequal distribution of public welfare schemes and funds, hence such camps were necessary to provide them legal knowledge and their due money.
Legal Aid Clinic would be opened in 252 gram panchayats of Jhalawar district, Justice Gupta announced.
