Rs 38 lakh relief for families affected by wind storm in J-K

A relief of over Rs 38 lakh has been provided to 1,258 families affected by wind storm in Kangan tehsil of Ganderbal district last year.
Forest Minister Mian Altaf yesterday handed over the relief cheques to the affected families at a function at Haaripora village of Kangan, 40 kms from here, an official spokesman said.
Altaf, who is local MLA, said the government is giving focused attention to the people living in remote and far flung areas of the state.
