At the state cabinet meeting here, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, sanction was given for a total amount of Rs 491 crore from the Bihar Contingency Fund for payment of dues, in the current financial year, to serving and retired employees at the universities, Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat Department, Upendra Pandey told reporters.
In another decisions taken at the cabinet meeting, a nod was given for payment, from the Contingency Fund, to the state parliamentary affairs department for meeting the expenses incurred during the conference of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, India Chapter, here, scheduled from February 16 to February 19, he said.
Nod was also given for private capital investment of Rs 490.42 crore for setting up a 30 MW solar power plant and a cement factory in Aurangabad district, Pandey said.
Both the solar power plant and the cement manufacturing unit will be set up by Delhi-based Shree Cement Ltd, he said.\
Besides, approval was granted for private capital investment of Rs 81.24 crore for a 10 MW solar power plant at Sherghati in Gaya which will be developed by Delhi-based Sunmark Energy Ltd, the Additional Secretary said.
