The snatchers took away Rs 17 lakh at gun-point from the staff of a private hospital in Chadrasekharpur from Damana area in the state capital, the sources said.
The snatchers fired in the air and fled with the money on a motorcycle.
"We have received a complaint and three staff members of the hospital are being questioned," said city DCP Nitinjit Singh.
In another incident, snatchers looted Rs 60 lakh being shifted from a Bank in Khurda to Balugaon by stopping a vehicle at Biribadi Chhak after firing and injuring a securityman, the sources added.
