Rs eight lakh ration rice seized

: Thirty two tonnes of ration rice worth about Rs eight lakh, meant to be smuggled to Karnataka were seized and the two lorries and a car carrying them seized near Nalrod area on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border today, police said.
The seizure was effected during a vehicular check and six persons arrested in this connection, they said.
They are being questioned to ascertain who the kingpin is behind the smuggling operations, police said.
