RSP's Sinter Plant-3 creates "best ever" single-day record

Sinter Plant-3 of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has registered its "best ever production" for any single day at 12,475 ton, an RSP release said.
The previous record of 12,378 ton was set on December 19, 2017, the release said.
The per-day rated capacity of the unit is 11,232 ton.
"By making 12,475 ton of sinter in a single day (yesterday), the unit has clocked 111 per cent of its rated capacity apart from achieving the specific productivity of 1.44 ton/square metre/hour," the release added.
