The RSS state unit members also met West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi and apprised him of the present situation in the state.
"Today we met Governor K N Tripathi and apprised him of the ground level situation in the state. There is a rapid rise of fundamentalism and anti-national forces in the state," RSS leader Jishnu Basu told reporters after the meeting.
"All this is happening because the state government has decided to turn blind eye to the entire situation for the sake of vote bank," he said.
He alleged the state government has started a politics of appeasement in the state ignoring the religious sentiments of others.
Threatening to launch a bigger campaign on the issue, Basu said, "we have also decided to wait for few more days to see whether the state government takes any action or not".
"If the state government doesn't take any action we will launch a massive campaign throughout the state," the RSS leader said.
