The RSS-affiliated Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) will organise a conclave of Muslim women on February 21 in Ayodhya, where a resolution will be passed demanding the construction of a Ram Temple there, a senior functionary said today.
The meet will also discuss issues such as triple talaq and education among Muslim women, MRM's women wing convener Reshma Hussai told PTI.
She said that many Muslim women have no objection if the Ram Temple is constructed in Ayodhya. A special resolution will be passed at the conclave, demanding the construction of the temple at the disputed site.
MRM was formed in 2002 at the initiative of the then RSS chief K S Sudarshan to reach out to Muslims.
It was in the forefront of the fight against triple talaq. In August last year, the Supreme Court struck down the practice of instant triple talaq or 'Talaq-e-biddat' as "arbitrary and unconstitutional".
