RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will arrive here tomorrow on a three-day visit of Bihar during which he is scheduled to interact with students in Nawada district, a senior functionary of the outfit said today.

Bhagwat will arrive here tomorrow afternoon and will reach Nawada, where a 20-day Sangh Shiksha Varg is underway, RSS state secretary Mohan Singh told PTI.

At the Varg, students from all types of institutions and enrolled in all streams get an opportunity to interact with senior RSS functionaries, he said.

The Sarsanghchalak (Bhagwat) will be here till May 24 and leave the next day, Singh said.

The opposition RJD has expressed apprehensions over the visit of the RSS chief pointing out that his previous tour of the state saw widespread communal tensions and violence.

"We wonder why Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is so helpless before the Hindutva agenda of the BJP-RSS combine. Earlier this year, Bhagwat had toured Bihar for a 10-day-long stretch and shortly afterwards during Ram Navami riots erupted in several districts like Bhagalpur, Gaya, Aurangabad and Samastipur", RJD national vice-president Shivanand Tiwary said.

"Now, he is visiting Nawada which was one of the districts affected by a spate of communal tensions. If Kumar cannot prevent the RSS chief from visiting Bihar he should at least keep a close watch on Bhagwat's activities," he said.

Reacting sharply to Tiwary's statement, JD(U) spokesman and MLC Neeraj Kumar said "Nitish Kumar knows his job and his commitment to maintaining peace and order in the society remains impeccable.

"The RJD need not harangue us on this issue. People from all organizations are free to visit Bihar if they do not try to create any disturbances," he added.
