A 52-year-old RTI activist was shot at by two motorbike-borne assailants near his house in South Delhi's Chhawla area, police said today.
The victim, identified as Parmanand Sharma sustained bullet injuries in his hand and thigh in the incident which took place around 10 PM last night.
Sharma is recuperating in a local hospital where his condition is stated to be serious but stable, police said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Parmanand had some dispute with local builders and a property dispute could be behind the attack, they said.
His family has also told police that a similar attack had taken place on Sharma around a month back as well when someone has fired gunshots outside his home.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered with Chhawla police station and further investigations are on, police added.
