Australian actor Ruby Rose's surprise exit from The CW series "Batwoman" reportedly stemmed from her unhappiness over long working hours for the show.
Rose announced on Wednesday that she has decided to leave the show after just one season, which wrapped airing on the network last week.
Multiple sources told TVLine that she exited the show because she didn't like spending long hours for the lead role and it led to friction on the set.
Therefore, the actor as well as the network and studio, Warner Bros Television, decided to part ways.
"It wasn't 100 per cent her decision. It was a breakup. She wasn't happy working on the show, and did that make her fun to work with? No. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It just wasn't a good fit," one source told the outlet.
Rose was cast as the titular DC superhero in 2018 and she made her debut The CW's annual DC crossover event of its shows --"The Flash","Arrow","Legends of Tomorrow"and"Supergirl" -- later that year.

The series, which started airing on The CW from October, 2019, revolves around Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an openly lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence.
In her statement on Wednesday, the 34-year-old actor said the decision to exit the series was a "difficult" one.
"This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles," Rose said.
The studio and the network are currently looking for a new lead actor, who like Rose, will be a "member of the LGBTQ community".
