Rudki Road stretch in Meerut to be closed from 6 AM to 6 PM

Heavy vehicles, including the roadways buses, will not be allowed to ply on Rudki Road between Modipuram flyover and Comany Bagh here from 6 AM to 6 PM for a month, starting tomorrow, police said today.
The decision has been taken as physical test for police recruitment will take place at PAC centre on Rudki Road and large number of candidates along with their parents will come for the test, which can cause traffic jam, said a police spokesman.
So the decision has been taken for the safety of the people and to avoid traffic jam or possible accidents, he said.

An alternative route has been arranged for the movement of heavy vehicles, the spokesman said.
He added that light vehicles will be allowed to ply on the road as usual.
