Union ministers Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Giriraj Singh and Ram Kripal Yadav were feted today by the state unit BJP upon their maiden visit to Bihar after being inducted into the Union council of ministers last week by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rudy and his two other colleagues were received by the BJP leaders and workers at the party office at Veer Chand Patel Path which wore a festive look on the occasion of reception of the three union ministers.
The state unit BJP office was chok-a-block with hundreds of party workers who greeted the three union ministers upon their arrival there and took their snaps while Rudy and the two new union ministers were garlanded by the state unit BJP leaders one after another.
The harried mediapersons had to jostle with the enthusiastic party workers to find their feed in the crowded hall where the newly-appointed ministers from Bihar were felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Rudy, who has been allocated Skill Development and Entrepreneurship portfolio by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, exuded confidence that the BJP will ride on momentum in its favour to sweep the assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand to be held over the next two months and wrest Bihar as well next year.
Having conquered the Gateway of India (Maharashtra) and Haryana last month, we are confident of sweeping the assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand later this year, Rudy, who was the BJP's Maharashtra unit in-charge till the conclusion of assembly polls, said.
The BJP will also wrest Bihar from the JD(U) government during assembly polls next year, he said.
It may be mentioned that Rudy had defeated the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi, a former chief minister herself, from Saran parliamentary seat during the general elections.
