Holding the Communists responsible for instigating the political violence in Kerala, RSS today said the Centre and the state government should urgently take action against the perpetrators and ensure that rule of law prevails.
"Government records and various judicial and police reports clearly established the fact that the Communists started violence in Kerala, not only against RSS but also against those who did not accept their ideology," V Nagaraj, RSS Kshetriya Sarsangchalak of Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh told reporters here.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had recently targeted BJP and RSS for the violence in the politically volatile Kannur district of the state, saying the saffron party and its outfits were "deliberately" causing breach of peace in the district.
"Indulging in violence, brainwashing and hoodwinking is the method of Communists, but they don't know it does not work any more," Nagaraj said.
He also asked the Kerala government and the Centre to take appropriate action urgently against the perpetrators of violence and necessary measures to ensure the rule of law in Kerala.
"Actually the law and order is a state subject, but when the killings are of terrorist dimensions in various statesincluding Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, we request the Central government also to pitch in because it threatens the integrity of the country," he said.

"Unless some trials take place and an opinion is given, we want to oppose it (GM crops) and should not be brought into the country," he said.
Moreover, the products of Monsanto have not only been opposed by India, but also by many western countries like France and Germany because nobody knows what would be the long-term outcome of it, the RSS functionary said, adding the agricultural scientists are themselves divided over the issue.
