State Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Executive Committee, which met here last evening, said the party-led Government in Goa will have to come down heavily on corrupt elements in the administration and check the menace.
The State BJP leadership met on the eve of Manohar Parrikar-led Government completing one year in office.
"Being a party with difference, it is admitted that at various levels of administration the old habit of corrupt practices, cultivated during Congress regime, still persists, about which there will be understandable resentment amongst the people," a resolution passed at the meeting said.
In yet another resolution, the party condemned "non- cooperative" attitude of the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre in solving the mining issue.
