The 26-year-old "Dancing With The Stars" winner will play jailed murderess Roxie Hart in the show for a limited eight week run, reported Deadline.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the actress wrote, "could not be more excited."
Willis will take over from Brandy Norwood on August 18.
Soon after her, Bruce will be venturing into theatre with production of "Misery".
